UN report details displacement and aid needs in the West Bank

More than 4,300 Palestinians had been displaced across the West Bank in 2026 by demolitions, evictions, settler attacks and related access restrictions, according to a United Nations humanitarian update published on 18 September.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that more than 1,600 people were displaced through demolitions and over 2,600 in the context of settler violence and related access restrictions. It recorded more than 1,600 settler attacks resulting in casualties, property damage or both across 275 Palestinian communities as of 14 September.

For the report’s 8–14 September West Bank period, OCHA said 46 Palestinian-owned structures were demolished or demolished by owners following orders, displacing 57 people. It also reported assistance from humanitarian partners, including shelter items, food, hygiene supplies, psychosocial support and mobile health care for affected families.

These are OCHA’s documented figures and reporting periods. The agency described movement restrictions, property damage and funding shortfalls as continuing obstacles to aid and access to services.
