Grievance
This process is for grievances concerning VERIQIA’s published news or current-affairs content, applicable editorial obligations or the operation of its grievance mechanism. It is distinct from ordinary editorial feedback and correction requests.
Last updated 20 August 2026What may be submitted
A grievance may concern an alleged breach of applicable digital-media obligations or Code of Ethics, unlawful or seriously harmful published content, failure to follow a stated editorial process, or the handling of a prior qualifying grievance.
Information to provide
Provide your name and reliable contact information, the affected VERIQIA URL, the specific content or conduct at issue, the basis of the grievance, the outcome requested, and supporting evidence. If acting for another person or organization, state your authority to do so.
Grievance Officer
Aravind Kumar Shyam J is VERIQIA’s India-based Grievance Officer. Submit grievance matters to the dedicated public grievance address.
How to submit
Email the Grievance Officer and clearly identify the communication as a VERIQIA grievance. Include the information described above so the matter can be recorded and assessed.
Acknowledgement and review
VERIQIA will record and assess a sufficiently identified grievance. For grievances governed by applicable Indian digital-media rules, acknowledgement, review, decision and any available escalation will follow the statutory process and timelines in force.
Self-regulating body application
VERIQIA has submitted an application for membership with the Journalist & Media Association Grievances Council (JMAGC). The application is currently pending review.
VERIQIA does not represent that it is currently a JMAGC member. Level-II escalation through JMAGC is not presented as active unless and until membership is approved and the applicable details are published.
Corrections and takedowns
A disputed factual statement may be routed through the Corrections Policy. Copyright, privacy, unlawful-content, court-order or urgent safety concerns may be routed through the Takedown process. Routing does not reduce any applicable legal obligation.
Abuse and incomplete submissions
Spam, threats, automated bulk messages, knowingly false submissions or communications that do not identify a reviewable issue may be limited or may not receive a substantive response. VERIQIA may request information reasonably needed to assess a genuine grievance.
